Urgent Help Needed – February 2021

A Life Destroyed

When Tali* was just 18 years old, she was critically injured in the Dolphinarium Discotheque Massacre in Tel Aviv. A terrorist blew himself up, injuring 120 people and killing 21 people, 16 of them teenagers just like her.

OneFamily has been by Tali’s side as she tries to cope with everyday life. For the past decade, Tali has been dependent on a OneFamily psychologist, and has been involved in support groups and weekly coaching. Before the pandemic, Tali was fairly stable emotionally, but with the onset of Covid-19, she has regressed. She lost her job, and her anxiety and outbursts have again escalated. Tali is quickly sinking under money and psychological pressures.

A Hero Suffering

Suffering the unimaginable in a terror attack always brings new and difficult challenges. Isaac Sandler* has been dealing with these challenges since that horrifying moment when he was attacked while protecting the people of Karmei Tzur in February 2018.

Isaac has been unable to work full time, and to provide for his family. Corona has not only affected the Sandlers financially, but has also caused major delays in Isaac’s physical therapy. The family needs help to stay afloat during this extremely challenging time. Sometimes there is no food at home. OneFamily has been providing basic products and food stamps, but so much more help is needed to support the children’s education and to pay basic bills.

Terror In The Park

Reuven, Lital and five-year-old Yonatan Allon* were on their way to a park when their lives were forever changed. A terrorist stabbed Reuven over and over again, and then attacked Lital. The trauma and emotional distress that was experienced on that horrific day haunts the Allon family until today.

Yonatan suffers from PTSD and anxiety, while Lital suffers from severe anxiety and sleeping issues, and is unable to leave their home. Reuven’s PTSD makes him suspicious of everyone. Reuven and Lital are struggling to function and are unable to support their children’s education and emotional development.
