About the Event

Please join us at  A Taste for Life and experience an evening of inspirational conversation, delicious food, musical entertainment and an exciting silent art auction featuring contemporary Israeli artists. This year’s event will focus on four remarkable individuals who are making their way back to the lives they led before their attacks, and the extraordinary OneFamily team whose compassion knows no limits, as they go above and beyond to support these victims and their families.

The Unsung Heroes of OneFamily

This year, get a glimpse into the world of OneFamily as we are joined by eight of our true heroes – four inspirational and courageous men and women whose lives have been impacted by terror and the frontline OneFamily team of caseworkers who have selflessly worked with them from the moment of the attack, enabling them to rebuild their lives.

Alon Nevah

Alon’s wife, Ilana, was murdered by terrorists in the Tel Aviv Sarona Market attack in 2015. She was there to celebrate her 39th birthday. Alon has now become the main caregiver for their four daughters, one of whom suffers from cerebral palsy.

Alon will be joined by his OneFamily caseworker, Nava Formanski.

Adel Benitah

In 2015, while walking in the Old City of Jerusalem, a terrorist attacked Adel, her husband, Aharon, their 2-year-old son and their baby daughter. Adel, in her late 20s, was stabbed and very seriously wounded, and her son was shot in the leg. Her husband did not survive the attack and Adel now struggles to care for her young children on her own.

Adel will be joined by her OneFamily caseworker, Mindee Levinger.

Gabi Zaada

Gabi was one of 40 people wounded in a mass terrorist attack in Beit She’an. Two terrorists randomly threw grenades and shot into a crowd gathered at a rally, killing six people. Gabi was shot five times, including one bullet to the head, and went through a long and difficult rehabilitation.

Gabi will be joined by his OneFamily caseworker, Batia Weinberg.

Dr. Bracha Kupinsky

Bracha’s son, Aryeh, a father of five, was one of the six men murdered in the Har Nof Synagogue Massacre in 2014; his heroics during the attack saved many lives, but he did not survive. Bracha, a renowned educator, is dealing with the pain while trying to remain strong for her family.

Bracha will be joined by her OneFamily caseworker, Pini Rabinovich.
