Packing List

We recommend bringing as little as possible in the smallest and lightest piece of luggage available to you. Dress for the hike is practical and casual, and evenings are very informal. If you are arriving in Israel before the hike and/or extending your stay, you may want to consider arranging to store any excess baggage.

Notes:

*What will I carry with me on the hike?2022-06-09T11:23:45-04:00

You will need to carry a knapsack large enough to hold 3-5 litres of water, your lunch, sunscreen and any extras you wish to carry. Depending on personal preference, you may want to take the following with you on each hike: some identification, cell phone, camera, rain gear (if the forecast indicates rain), spare pair of socks, band aids, toilet paper and wipes (there will likely not be facilities on route). Many hikers also take hiking poles with them.

**What type of shoes should I wear?2022-06-09T11:25:33-04:00

Proper hiking boots and hiking socks are critical. They should have good ankle support and we suggest that they be broken in prior to the hike. Wearing shoes for the first time on the hike is not suggested. (Open-toed sandals or running shoes will not be permitted.) We also recommend taking previously laundered hiking socks to avoid blistering.
